Leadership

Lynette Stewart, Ph.D.

Lynette Stewart, Ph.D., is an academic leader, educator, and strategist with over 20 years of experience advancing equity-driven innovation across higher education, community-based programs, and youth development systems. As Department Chair at SUNY Empire State University, she leads initiatives grounded in trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice, with a focus on scalable impact and student success.

Dr. Stewart is an accomplished author, researcher, and speaker whose work bridges theory and application to drive institutional change. Her portfolio spans curriculum design, workforce development, and community engagement, positioning her as a thought leader in transforming educational and human service systems to better serve diverse populations.
